If you follow me over on my new Instagram you’ll know that each month I set myself a series of goals, one of which is usually to earn a little bit of extra money. In April my goal was to make an extra £100 in income over the course of the month. Unfortunately I didn’t achieve this goal; in fact I was a long way off! Unlike in March where I made £73 in extra income, I only managed £36 in April but for consistency I thought I would share how I did it:
Surveys
Voxpopme – £13.83
Referral reward – *If you sign up using my Voxpopme referral link we’ll both get £1 when your first response is approved!
This app is incredibly easy to use but takes a bit of getting used to. Why? You record your opinions as short video clips! Generally it pays around 60p for a minutes work and now that I’ve found some confidence I really enjoy responding to the topics.
Streetbees – £11.88
Referral code – 7946AT
I had another good month on Streetbees, a simple survey app. There were a lot of surveys on the effects of coronavirus on purchasing habits but the majority of these were low earners. You get paid per survey via PayPal and there’s no minimum payment threshold so I always check this survey site first. If you do see a survey you’d like to do make sure you do it as soon as possible as spaces fill up fairly quickly.
Curious Cat – £2.89
The quantity and quality of surveys on Curious Cat tends to vary widely but I’ve been choosing the higher value surveys and have managed to make a little bit this month.
Qmee* – £1.93
Referral reward – *If you sign up using my Qmee referral link we’ll both get 50p!
I had a slower month of Qmee, another survey app, but this was because I was being picky about which surveys I wanted to do. Some of the surveys are quite low value but you can see the time they will take and the amount you will get paid before you start so it’s easy to make a decision on whether it will be worth your time or not. Again there is no minimum payment threshold if you choose to be paid by PayPal so you can withdraw after every completed survey if you wish.
Total – £30.53

Second Hand Selling
eBay – £6.21
It’s free to list on eBay at the moment and since my husband goes to the post office 3 days a week for work I’ve started listing smaller items that are easy for him to carry and post for me. I made one sale (of a paperback book I wasn’t planning to read again) and the total is after fees and postage.
Total – £6.21
Grand Total – £36.74
For this challenge I have only counted money I have received into my bank account.
