On my 25th birthday (which was last Friday!) the weather wasn’t playing ball so we headed to Aviemore in the hope of seeing some spectacular scenery and to grab some lunch.
Renowned for its ski slopes and outdoor pursuits Aviemore was another of our holiday favourites when I was growing up. Accessible from the main road (A9) and by rail it’s a popular destination for thrill seekers and winter sport enthusiasts.
We decided to drive up to the go to see what we could see and were so glad we did. The view of Loch Morlich was moody and atmospheric so we jumped out of the car to take a few shots.
The view from the CairnGorm Ski Centre left a lot to be desired as it was pretty cloudy but I was thrilled that I got to see some snow!
When the visibility is better and their is a view to see we’re going to go to the very top on the funicular, maybe one day I’ll even go skiing!
